FEDERAL MOGUL IS RECALLING 6,903 AFTERMARKET BALL JOINT ASSEMBLIES SHIPPED BETWEEN NOVEMBER 9, 2007 AND MARCH 26, 2008, WHICH MAY HAVE BEEN PACKAGED WITH INCORRECT NUTS. THE PART NUMBERS PACKAGED WITH INCORRECT NUTS ARE: K7147, K7329, K8683, AND 104353. THESE PARTS WERE MADE FOR USE ON THE VARIOUS VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE. Remedy: FEDERAL MOGUL WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE PARTS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 22, 2008. OWNERS CAN CONTACT FEDERAL MOGUL AT 877-489-6659.
AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FUEL HOSE ROUTED TO THE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE REGULATOR MAY HAVE AN INADEQUATELY TIGHTENED HOSE CLAMP. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: THE FUEL HOSE COULD LEAK AND RESULT IN AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE. Remedy: REPOSITION AND TIGHTEN TO THE PROPER TORQUE LEVEL OF THE FUEL HOSE CLAMP.
FUEL LEAKAGE MAY OCCUR IN LOW AMBIENT TEMPERATURE OPERATION AT CONNECTIONS OF AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FUEL SUPPLY HOSE TO THE PRESSURE REGULATOR AND TO THE FUEL RAIL. Remedy: RELOCATE PRESSURE REGULATOR; REPLACE FUEL SUPPLY WITH FORMED HOSE WITH REVISED ROUTING CONFIGURATION TO ENSURE SEALING INTEGRITY.
We checked Transport Canada's recall database for this make, model and year.

VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH POWER SEATS THAT HAVE HAD A SEAT CUSHION FRAME REPLACEMENT IN THE FIELD COULD EXPERIENCE CUSHION FRAME FAILURE RESULTING IN SIGNIFICANT REARWARD MOVEMENT OF THE SEAT BACK. THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND A POSSIBLE CRASH. CORRECTION: SEAT CUSHION FRAME WILL BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF REQUIRED.
On certain vehicles with 2.2 Litre turbo-charged multi-port fuel injection engines, there is a possibility that fuel leakage may occur during low ambient temperature operation at the fuel hose used to interconnect the fuel pressure regulator and the injector rail. Fuel leakage would create the potential for an engine compartment fire. Correction: the pressure regulator will be relocated and the fuel supply hose will replaced with a formed hose having a revised routing configuration.
THESE VEHICLES DO NOT COMPLY WITH C.M.V.S.S. 1103 - EXHAUST EMISSIONS. PLUGGED CHOKE VACUUM DELAY VALVE. NOTE: VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.2 LITRE CARBURETED ENGINES.
On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.2 Litre turbo engine, an inadequately tightened fuel hose clamp at the fuel system pressure regulator could result in fuel leakage and provide the potential for an engine compartment fire.
