BOSCH DISTRIBUTOR-TYPE FUEL PUMPS HAVE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT CAN CAUSE THE BALL PIN, WHICH IS PART OF THE PUMP'S CONTROL LEVER ASSEMBLY, TO BREAK CAUSING THE LINK BETWEEN THE CONTROL SLEEVE AND THE CONTROL LEVER TO BECOME INOPERATIVE. Remedy: THE FUEL PUMPS WILL BE INSPECTED, AND IF NECESSARY, REPAIRED OR REPLACED.
THE STEERING WHEEL ARMATURE STAMPING CAN CRACK DUE TO FATIGUE AND SEPARATE FROM THE CENTER HUB ATTACHMENT TO THE STEERING COLUMN. Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE STEERING WHEEL FOR ARMATURE CRACKS AND REPLACE ANY WHEELS EXHIBITING CRACKS. ALL OTHER VEHICLES WILL HAVE A REINFORCEMENT PLATE INSTALLED TO PREVENT STEERING WHEEL SEPARATION IF CRACKING OCCURS.
THE TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS CERITIFICATION LABEL MAY HAVE INCORRECT INFORMATION. Remedy: AN OVERLAY OF THE CORRECT TIRE AND RIM SELECTION INFORMATION CERTIFICATE WILL BE PROVIDED.

On certain vehicles, the steering wheel armature may crack due to fatigue and separate from the centre hub attachment to the steering column. This could adversely affect steering control and result in a possible crash. Correction: Steering wheels exhibiting cracks will be replaced. All other involved vehicles will have a reinforcement plate installed to prevent steering wheel separation in the event cracking occurs.
On certain vehicles, the (takata) ABS plastic front seat belt release buttons may break allowing plastic pieces to fall into the buckle assembly. If this should happen, a no latch, false latch or failure to unlatch condition could occur creating the risk of personal injury in the event of a crash or sudden stop. Correction: Front seat belt buckles will be repaired or replaced as necessary.
On certain vehicles equipped with intercooled turbo-diesel engines, the fuel injector pump fulcrum lever pin may break causing loss of throttle control and resulting in a full fuel level (maximum speed) condition. This could result in loss of vehicle control and a crash without prior warning. Correction: Fuel injection pump will be replaced with a new pump using a revised fulcrum pin and pin insertion method.
