SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A STRAINED OR SEPARATED WASHER/WIPER SWITCH POWER FEED WIRE. Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE OLD DESIGNED WASHER/WIPER SWITCHES WITH A NEWLY DESIGNED SWITCH.
THE REAR WHEEL BRAKE HOSE(S) CAN CONTACT THE REAR SUSPENSION COMPONENTS CAUSING THE BRAKE HOSE(S) TO WEAR THROUGH. Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT FOR PROPER BRAKE HOSE POSITION AND REPLACE THOSE HOSES IN AN INCORRECT POSITION WITH NEW HOSES AND CORRECTLY ROUTED.
INCORRECT CLEAR FRONT SIDE MARKER BULBS WERE INSTALLED RATHER THAN AMBER BULBS. THIS DOES NOT CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CLEAR BULBS WITH THE CORRECT AMBER BULBS.
We checked Transport Canada's recall database for this make, model and year.

Certain vehicles may have a strained or separated washer/wiper power feed wire. This may cause the windshield washer/wiper to work intermittently and could ultimately result in inoperative wipers. This would result in reduced driver visibility during inclement weather conditions and a crash could occur. Correction: Windshield washer/wiper switch will be replaced with a redesigned switch.
NOTE: INCLUDES COUPES ONLY AND DOES NOT INCLUDE 1993 REGAL GRAN SPORT. DEFECT: VEHICLES DO NOT COMPLY WITH C.M.V.S.S. 108 - LIGHTING EQUIPMENT. THESE VEHICLES WERE ASSEMBLED WITH INCORRECT FRONT SIDE-MARKER BULBS WHICH ARE CLEAR INSTEAD OF AMBER. DURING ILLUMINATION, THE BULBS WILL SHOW CLEAR RATHER THAN AMBER. CORRECTION: THE INCORRECT BULBS WILL BE REPLACED WITH THE CORRECT BULBS.
On certain vehicles, the rear wheel brake hose(s) may be contacting rear suspension components. This could cause the brake hose(s) to wear through, resulting in loss of brake fluid and eventual loss of the braking system. This could result in increased stopping distances and a possible crash without prior warning. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and brake hoses found in the incorrect position will be replaced with new hoses and correctly routed.
