THE FUEL PUMP MOUNTING PLATE DOES NOT FULLY SEAL THE FUEL TANK ALLOWING FUEL LEAKAGE ONTO THE ENGINE. Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE ORIGINAL RUBBER SEAL WITH A REVISED SEAL THAT HAS METAL INSERTS SO THE PLATE CANNOT BE OVERTORQUED AND TO MORE EVENLY SPREAD THE LOAD ACROSS THE FACE OF THE SEAL.
