VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE AN INOPERATIVE BRAKE LAMP-ACTUATING SWITCH. IF THE BRAKE LAMP-ACTUATING SWITCH DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED, THE BRAKE LIGHTS MAY BE INOPERATIVE. ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE, A FAILURE IN THE BRAKE LAMP-ACTUATING SWITCH MAY ALSO PREVENT SHIFTING OUT OF PARK. THIS DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE STOP LAMP SWITCH ASSEMBLY.
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. THE COUPLING THAT CONNECTS THE STEERING COLUMN SHAFT TO THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT IS CRACKED. THIS COULD ALLOW THE STEERING SHAFTS TO SEPARATE. Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE STEERING SHAFT COUPLING.
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: 2-DOOR PASSENGER VEHICLES. DURING PORT INSTALLATION OF REAR STEREO SPEAKERS, THE FRONT SEAT BELT LOWER ANCHOR BOLTS WERE REMOVED TO FACILITATE THE REAR SPEAKER INSTALLATION AND MAY NOT HAVE BEEN TORQUED TO SPECIFICATION AFTER INSTALLATION OF THE SPEAKERS. Remedy: DEALERS WILL RETORQUE BOTH OF THE FRONT SEAT BELT LOWER ANCHOR BOLTS TO SPECIFICATION.
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: 2-DOOR PASSENGER VEHICLES. DURING PORT INSTALLATION OF REAR STEREO SPEAKERS, THE VEHICLES WIRING HARNESS COULD HAVE BEEN PINCHED BETWEEN THE REAR STEREO SPEAKER AND SPEAKER RETAINING PLATE. CMVSS 115 requires that certain information be uniquely identified in the vehicle identification number (VIN). One such item is the engine type. This particular vehicle configuration has two available engines, 1.6L and 2.0L. Both vehicle configurations have been labelled with the same VIN prefix that being "2S3TA52C". This was the correct VIN prefix for the 2.0L model. All 1.6L models should have been encoded with the VIN prefix "2S3TA03C". Correction: As this does not present a safety risk and there are no possibilities that a VIN could have been applied in duplicate, no corrective measures will be taken.
Certain vehicles do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 108 - Lighting System and Retroreflective Devices. Vehicles may have an inoperative brake lamp-actuating switch. If this switch does not function properly when the brake pedal is depressed, the brake lights may not come on. Correction: Brake lamp-actuating switch will be replaced on affected vehicles.

The left rear brake pipe may have been damaged during tightening process, which may lead to rust development and to the creation of a hole. This may cause brake fluid leaks, resulting in impaired braking performance and loss of driving stability, increasing the risk of an accident. Production dates not stated in the alert. Types: AKK414 / AKK415; APK414 / APK415; e4*2007/46*0779*16, e4*2007/46*0928*13.
Irregularities were found in the emission behaviour of vehicles from Suzuki. Producing disproportionate NOX emissions will harm the environment and health of human beings. Production dates not stated in the alert. Types: JY14, JY15, JY16 S-Cross; LY30, LY31, LY32 Vitara.
The vehicles affected may have been fitted with Takata non-azide driver inflator (NADI) gas generators in which inadequate sealing on the gas generator could allow the ingress of moisture and thus result in the degradation of the propellant. If the airbag deploys, this could cause the gas generator to underinflate or to burst. In the case of under inflation the protective effect is not given. In case of overpressure deployment metal parts can enter the vehicle interior, this could cause serious or fatal injuries to occupants of the vehicle. Production: The affected vehicles were manufactured between 1998 and 1999.. Types: Type-approval number: e6*98/14*0053*, Typе FT.
Due to the improper design of the intercooler outlet pipe and insufficient tightening of the intercooler inlet hose clump, they could slip off and cause the improper ratio of air/fuel mixture. The above condition may cause excessive deposition of carbon particulate in DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) system that could burn up and result in the overheating or melting of DPF. In the worst case, DPF may catch fire. Production dates not stated in the alert. Types: Suzuki Grand Vitara Turbodiesel 1.9.
