GLENDALE RV IS RECALLING 137 MY 1999-2001 GOLDEN FALCON FIFTH WHEEL TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH NORCOLD REFRIGERATORS. A FATIGUE FAILURE IN THE SECTION OF THE COOLING UNIT WHICH CONTAINS THE REFRIGERANT COULD ALLOW THE LIQUID SOLUTION TO SLOWLY LEAK. Remedy: GLENDALE RV IS WORKING WITH NORCOLD TO REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS (PLEASE SEE 08E030). NORCOLD WILL PROVIDE THERMAL SWITCH KITS TO OWNERS ALONG WITH THE NECESSARY FORMS AND INSTRUCTIONS. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NORCOLD AT 1-800-767- 9101 OR GLENDALE RV AT 1-519-245-1600.

On certain travel trailers equipped with a Norcold Inc. refrigerator, a fatigue crack can develop in the boiler tube. This could allow the release of pressurized coolant solution into an area where an ignition source is present, which could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will install a secondary burner housing.
Certain Fifth wheel trailers equipped with a Norcold gas/electric refrigerator model # 1200LR and 1200LRIM manufactured between December 1996 and March 1999 with serial number of the refrigerator’s cooling unit between 700000 and 1008700. The refrigerator may experience elevated temperatures when operated in the AC electric mode. This may result in expulsion of hydrogen gas and a possible fire. Correction: Dealer will replace the cooling unit.
