CMVSS 115 requires that certain information be uniquely identified in the vehicle identification number (VIN). One such item is the engine type. This particular vehicle configuration has two available engines, 1.6L and 2.0L. Both vehicle configurations have been labelled with the same VIN prefix that being "2S3TA52C". This was the correct VIN prefix for the 2.0L model. All 1.6L models should have been encoded with the VIN prefix "2S3TA03C". Correction: As this does not present a safety risk and there are no possibilities that a VIN could have been applied in duplicate, no corrective measures will be taken.

The left rear brake pipe may have been damaged during tightening process, which may lead to rust development and to the creation of a hole. This may cause brake fluid leaks, resulting in impaired braking performance and loss of driving stability, increasing the risk of an accident. Production dates not stated in the alert. Types: AKK414 / AKK415; APK414 / APK415; e4*2007/46*0779*16, e4*2007/46*0928*13.

The vehicles affected may have been fitted with Takata non-azide driver inflator (NADI) gas generators in which inadequate sealing on the gas generator could allow the ingress of moisture and thus result in the degradation of the propellant. If the airbag deploys, this could cause the gas generator to underinflate or to burst. In the case of under inflation the protective effect is not given. In case of overpressure deployment metal parts can enter the vehicle interior, this could cause serious or fatal injuries to occupants of the vehicle. Production: The affected vehicles were manufactured between 1998 and 1999.. Types: Type-approval number: e6*98/14*0053*, Typе FT.
Due to the improper design of the intercooler outlet pipe and insufficient tightening of the intercooler inlet hose clump, they could slip off and cause the improper ratio of air/fuel mixture. The above condition may cause excessive deposition of carbon particulate in DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) system that could burn up and result in the overheating or melting of DPF. In the worst case, DPF may catch fire. Production dates not stated in the alert. Types: Suzuki Grand Vitara Turbodiesel 1.9.
