On certain motorcycles, the male fuel connector linking each of the feed and return fuel hoses to the fuel pump mounting plate may be found to contain a fracture following in-service handling. Fuel could escape from the fractured body of the connector onto the engine or side of the bike. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, can result in a fire. Correction: Dealer will replace the connector.
On certain motorcycles, the clutch cable may fray or snap resulting in a loss of control. Correction: Dealer will replace the clutch cable.
On certain vehicles, there is the possibility that the sprag housing bolts will become loose and may cause consequential engine damage and possible driveline seizure. This could result in loss of vehicle control and a possible crash. Correction: Sprag bolts will be replaced.
On certain motorcycles, the side stand mounting bracket may come loose due to incorrect torque. Should this occur, the side stand may not properly support the motorcycle and personal injury could occur. Correction: Side stand mounting bracket fixings will be retorqued to 45 Nm. If it is necessary to tighten either of the bracket fixings through more than one full turn, both of the fixings will be replaced as the threads and under-head areas may have become damaged. Note: These vehicles are still at dealers and will be repaired before being sold.
