ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, THE FUEL PUMP AND IGNITION RELAYS INSTALLED DURING PRODUCTION COULD BE DEFECTIVE. THIS CAN CAUSE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL TO STOP FUNCTIONING AND THE ENGINE TO STOP. Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP AND IGNTION RELAYS. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING OCTOBER 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DUCATI AT 1-408-253-0499.

On certain motorcycles, the fuel pump and ignition relays could fail, causing the instrument panel to stop functioning and the engine to stall. Engine stall could result in a crash causing injury or death. Correction: Dealers will replace both relays.
