CERTAIN FIFTH WHEEL TRAILERS BUILT WITH 16" STEEL WHEELS MAY LEAK AT THE VALVE STEM DURING INFLATION OR WHEN CHECKING THE AIR PRESSURE DUE TO IMPROPER SEATING OF THE VALVE STEM. SOME MODELS HAVE ALUMINUM WHEELS WITH A STEEL SPARE AND ONLY THE SPARE IS AFFECTED. INDICATION OF THE DEFECT OCCURS WHEN APPLYING SIDEWAYS PRESSURE TO THE VALVE STEM (SUCH AS CHECKING THE TIRE PRESSURE). AIR WILL LEAK THROUGH THE VALVE HOLE IN THE RIM. Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SNAP-IN VALVE STEM WITH A BOLT-IN VALVE STEM. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 2, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT KEYSTONE RV AT 1-866-425-4369.

On certain fifth wheel and travel trailers, the Milestar ST225/75D15D M633 tires may exhibit symptoms of a defect such as; exterior sidewall and tread cracking, excessive tread wear, tread separation and blowouts. Tire failure could adversely affect vehicle handling, potentially causing a crash with property damage, personal injury, or death. Correction: Owners will be provided with a letter detailing these concerns, and how to determine if they possess the tires in question. Suspect tires are marked with a DOT number that begins with 5YHH TC1. Once confirmed, the tire should be inspected for defects and, if required, replaced forthwith. For questions regarding warranty consideration, owners should contact Tireco at (800) 937-9433.
Certain fifth wheel and travel trailers were manufactured with 16 inch steel wheels that may leak at the valve stem during inflation or when checking air pressure, due to improper seating of the valve stem. Some models have aluminium wheels with a steel spare and only the spare is affected. Towing a vehicle with under inflated tires can result in tire failure, increasing the risk of property damage and a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the snap-in valve stem with a bolt-in version.
On certain fifth wheel trailers, the tail lamp sockets may not maintain contact with the bulb. Inoperative lamps will fail to convey the driver's intention to turn or brake to drivers in following vehicles as well as making the trailer less visible during nighttime operation. This would increase the risk of a rear end collision. Correction: Dealers will inspect the tail lamp and, if required, replace the sockets.
