On certain Triumph Tiger 800 and Tiger 800 XC motorcycles equipped with an accessory center stand, the stand return spring may fracture and fail. This could allow the center stand to contact the road surface while the vehicle is underway, which could distract the rider and result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the center stand spring.
On certain Triumph Tiger 800, Tiger 800 XC and Sprint GT motorcycles, the accessory top box may not be adequately affixed to its carriage and could detach from the vehicle. A top box separating from the vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will install a locking clip onto the top box latch mechanism.
On certain Triumph Tiger 800 and Tiger 800 XC motorcycles, the engine could stall while the vehicle is decelerating. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will update the engine management software.
