On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly. Note: For more information about recalled fire extinguishers, please visit www.kidde.com.
Certain travel trailers may not comply with Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations. The certification label may not contain the correct Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). The label incorrectly indicates a GAWR of 5,200 lbs (2,359 kg), while it should instead show the GAWR as 4,400 lbs (1,995 kg). This could lead to premature tire failure and vehicle overloading, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Keystone RV will send a revised certification label to current owners with instructions for proper placement. If owners are not comfortable installing the label themselves, they can take the label to a Keystone RV dealer for installation.
On certain travel trailers, suspension travel may allow the equalizer to contact the Liquid Propane (LP) line located under the trailer. This could damage the LP line, which could result in a leak. A propane gas leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire or an explosion, which could cause property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will reposition the LP line.
