Maserati is recalling certain model year 2012 Quattroporte, Granturismo, Granturismo Convertible, and Granturismo MC vehicles. The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may malfunction due to a software error, preventing the driver from being notified of a low tire pressure situation. Remedy: Maserati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the TPMS control unit free of charge. The recall began on October 31, 2012. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737.
We checked Transport Canada's recall database for this make, model and year.

On certain vehicles, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) could malfunction and fail. Operating a vehicle with low tire pressures could reduce vehicle traction in some operating conditions, or increase tire temperatures which could lead to tire failure. This can result in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the TPMS ECU.
