Issue: On certain vehicles, covers were not installed over the horizontal headlamp adjusters. As a result, the headlamps may be adjusted horizontally. Canadian regulations do not allow for horizontal headlamp adjustment unless the vehicle is equipped with a built-in aiming device. Safety Risk: Headlamps that are not properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility or glare for oncoming drivers, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install caps over the headlamp adjustment screws.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the front passenger seat occupant sensor mat could stop working over time. This could cause the airbag system to turn off the passenger-front airbag even when a passenger is seated. Note: The airbag warning light or passenger airbag OFF light will turn on if the sensor mat stops working. Safety Risk: An airbag that is turned off could increase the risk of injury to a passenger in a crash. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the front passenger seat cushion and occupant sensor mat.
Issue: Over time, small cracks could develop in the fuel pump outlet. If this happens, there could be a fuel odour or fuel leak under the rear seat area. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the fuel pump service cover. The fuel filter flanges will be inspected, and replaced if any cracks are found.
