On certain travel trailers, an incorrectly sized equalizer was mounted to the center axle hanger. This could lead to premature failure of the equalizer and/or axle springs which could result in loss of vehicle control increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will remove the incorrect equalizer and replace it with the correct equalizer.
On certain travel trailers manufactured with a Christianson Industries exterior foldable ladder, the ladder's mounting bracket could separate from the hinge due to an incorrect weld. This could result in the ladder separating from the vehicle, which if an individual were to be utilizing the ladder, it could lead to an increased risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install a hinge brace over the back of the existing hinges to secure the hinge and mounting bracket.
On certain travel trailers, the shackle bolt may not be seated properly into the chassis axle hanger. This could allow the center axle of a triple axle configuration to rotate to the rear causing tire degradation and/or a loss of vehicle control which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and affect repairs as necessary.
On certain trailers, the wheel hubs may have been manufactured with defective wheel studs, which could cause a complete separation of the wheel(s) from the travel trailer and a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the defective hubs.
