Issue: On certain Fuzion 429 fifth-wheel travel trailers, the wiring to the power center could get pinched between the floor framing and the chassis. This could cause the wires to short circuit. Safety Risk: An electrical short circuit could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealership to inspect the power center wiring and repair it as necessary.
On certain travel trailers, the brake wiring may rub against the tires or wheels while the vehicle is in motion. This could cause a reduction or loss of trailer braking and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the wiring for damage, repair as necessary and secure the wiring.
On certain vehicles equipped with Kidde fire extinguishers with black plastic handles and valves, the fire extinguishers may become clogged or require excessive force to activate. Also, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury, and fail to discharge. In case of fire, failure of the extinguisher to function could result in injury and/or property damage. Correction: Owners will be provided with instructions on how to inspect the fire extinguisher to see if it is recalled. Replacement fire extinguishers will be supplied by Kidde directly.
