REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain 2019 Fleetwood Flair and Holiday Rambler Admiral, model 28A, Class A motorhomes. These vehicles were manufactured with a non flexible Romex wire routed from a 120-Volt nightstand receptacle, through the traveling and stationary bed platform sections, instead of flexible sheathed SJO cable. As a result, the Romex wire may become damaged from the movement of the bedroom slide-out. Remedy: REV has repaired all of the affected Class A motorhomes while they were in dealer inventory by re-routing the wire harness to ensure that the flexible-sheathed SJO cable is routed through the traveling and stationary bed platform sections in the slide-out area, free of charge. All vehicles were repaired as of July 3, 2018. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417. REV's number for this recall is 180618REV.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the exterior patio 120 V electrical outlet doesn't have ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protection. Safety Risk: An electrical outlet that doesn't have ground-fault protection could create a risk of shock or electrocution. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, REV Group advises you to only use the exterior patio outlet when it's powered by invertor power until the recall repairs are completed. REV Group will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to install ground-fault protection to the exterior patio outlet.
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the front overhead cabinet under the drop-down bed may not be properly attached. As a result, the cabinet could detach and fall on the driver and/or passenger. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes with an optional Happijac drop-down bed. Safety Risk: A cabinet that detaches and falls could create a risk of injury. Additionally, a cabinet that falls while driving could create a distraction and/or affect a driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, REV Group advises you to remove all contents from the front overhead cabinet and to inspect that the cabinet isn't starting to detach until the recall repairs are completed. REV Group will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to reinstall the front overhead cabinet with additional hardware.
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the generator exhaust pipe may be routed incorrectly. This could cause it to be damaged or sheared off if the motorhome is driven on an incline. Safety Risk: A damaged or missing generator exhaust pipe may allow carbon monoxide to enter the motorhome. This could result in asphyxiation or carbon monoxide poisoning. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect, and if necessary, replace the generator exhaust pipe with a redesigned pipe that exits at the rear of the motorhome.
