The malfunction indicator light (MIL) may fail to illuminate if the diagnostic system of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and/or the diesel particulate filter (DPF) malfunctions after a fault code has appeared. This could cause the vehicle to operate without the required warning, and resulting in emissions above the regulatory limits. A defective seal can cause an oil leak at the front transmission. This can lead to the front bearing of the transmission locking up, causing the rear wheels to lock up. This can result in a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries. Production: 04.2019 - 04.2021 (STELLANTIS); 12.2019 - 04.2021 (Toyota Motor Europe).
