Issue: On certain vehicles, moisture could enter the driver-side door lock microswitch and cause it to corrode. As a result, the microswitch may fail to automatically engage the parking brake and/or the auto park feature when the door is opened. If this happens, the vehicle could roll away. Note: This problem could also cause the radio and/or interior lights to remain on after exiting the vehicle. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Mercedes-Benz recommends that you should always use the parking brake when you park. Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the driver-side door lock.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the vehicle type printed on the compliance label is incorrect. The vehicle type should be "MPV/VTUM" instead of "PC/VT". Canadian regulations require the vehicle type to be identified on the compliance label. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect safety. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Mercedes-Benz has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have the correct vehicle type printed on the compliance label.
Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with the emergency calling (eCall) system, the SIM card for the communications module could disable itself. If this happens, the eCall system would not work properly when there is a crash or when the SOS button is pressed. Safety Risk: If the eCall system does not work in an emergency situation, there could be a delay in response from emergency services. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle. If the update cannot be completed successfully, you will be notified to schedule an appointment to have the update performed by a dealer.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to appear on the central display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera software.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the front subframe could corrode over time. If this happens, suspension or steering parts could eventually detach from it. This could affect steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the front subframe (integral carrier) and replace it, if necessary.
Issue: On certain vehicles, small particles could damage the seals between the fuel rail and fuel injectors. If this happens, there could be a fuel leak in the engine compartment. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the fuel rail and fuel injectors.
Issue: On certain vehicles, a label on the headlamp assembly may contain incorrect information for a service technician. As a result, the headlamps may not get adjusted correctly after a repair. This could cause glare and/or confusion for oncoming drivers. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with LED headlamps. Safety Risk: Headlamps that cause glare or confusion for oncoming drivers could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: Mercedez-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the headlamps.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the front wheel wells may not be properly sealed. As a result, water can enter the vehicle and cause damage to the electronics. If this happens, the electronics may not work properly, the instrument cluster may not show any information, and the engine could stall. Note: This problem could cause damp carpets in the front foot wells and fogged windows. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. An instrument cluster that does not display information about vehicle systems could also increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: Mercedes-Benz will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the foot wells and repair any leaks. The dealer will also perform additional repairs that are necessary.
Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle. If the update cannot be completed successfully, you will be notified to schedule an appointment to have the update performed by a dealer.

Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with the emergency calling (eCall) system, the communications module may temporarily lose power during a crash. If this happens, the wrong vehicle location may be transmitted through the eCall system. This could cause emergency responders to be sent to the wrong location. Safety Risk: If the eCall system sends out the wrong location after a crash, there could be a delay in response from emergency services. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air update to each vehicle. If the update cannot be completed successfully, you will be notified to schedule an appointment to have the update performed by a dealer.
Issue: Certain vehicles may not display the correct warning indicator when there is a problem with the brake system. As a result, the brake system malfunction indicator lamp ("BRAKE") might be displayed instead of the required indicator lamp ("(!)"). Canadian regulations require the use of a symbol, instead of text. Safety Risk: This small error does not affect the function of the brake system or the accuracy of the information displayed. Corrective Actions: This is not a recall. Mercedes Benz has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles display the correct brake system malfunction indicator symbol.
Issue: On certain vehicles, the adjustable second-row seats may not be properly attached on one side. As a result, the seats could move in a crash.
