A hydrogen leak can occur between the tank’s outer cover and the protective lining. If the vehicle’s hydrogen sensors detect the leak while driving, the fuel-cell system will shut off. The vehicle will then only run in electric (battery) mode, with a very limited range of about 30 km and no ability to recharge hydrogen on board. If the vehicle is parked, the hydrogen sensors do not operate. In this case, hydrogen could build up under the vehicle which increases the risk of hydrogen catching fire. Production: 14.09.2021 - 30.09.2023 // VIN: VXEV1ZKXZMZ090272 - VXEV9ZKXZPZ079209. Types: e2*2007/46*0533*17; e2*KS18/858*00004*00 - e2*KS18/858*00004*02.
The fixing bolts and the hinge on the vehicle’s front control arms may break due to corrosion. This can cause the vehicle to steer in an unpredictable way, increasing the risk of injuries. Production: 23.09.2020 – 30.06.2022. Types: e2*2007/46*0532*13 - e2*2007/46*0532*18; e2*2007/46*0533*10; e2*2007/46*0533*12 - e2*2007/46*0533*21; e2*KS18/858*00004*00.
The malfunction indicator light (MIL) may fail to illuminate if the diagnostic system of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and/or the diesel particulate filter (DPF) malfunctions after a fault code has appeared. This could cause the vehicle to operate without the required warning, and resulting in emissions above the regulatory limits.
