Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Axis 25.6 and 2018-2021 Vegas 25.6 motorhomes. The heat shield between the LP tank and chassis muffler was not installed. Remedy: Dealers will install a heat shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 22, 2021. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000228.

Issue: On certain motorhomes, a heat shield was not installed between the propane (LP) tank and the exhaust system. As a result, the propane (LP) tank could overheat. Safety Risk: An overheated propane (LP) tank could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Thor Motor Coach will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to install a heat shield between the propane (LP) tank and the exhaust system.
