Issue: On certain motorhomes, the nuts that attach the rear stabilizer bar bracket(s) could loosen and the attachment bolts and bracket could break. If this happens, the bolts and bracket could detach and separate from the vehicle. Safety Risk: Parts that detach from the motorhome could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Ford dealership to inspect, and replace or repair the rear stabilizer attachment bolts and brackets as necessary.
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the service valve (main shutoff) for the propane tank may be defective. As a result, the connector may not seal properly and could leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to perform a leak test and inspect the date code on the service valve. It will be replaced, if necessary. Tiffin recommends that you should shut off the service valve (main shutoff) on the propane tank until your motorhome is inspected.
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the hydraulic cylinder that moves the slide-out room may have a defective inner seal. As result, the slide-out room could extend from the motorhome while parked, or in rare cases, while driving. Note: Defective hydraulic cylinders list a manufacturing date that is before 03/01/2022 on the body of the cylinder. Safety Risk: A slide-out room that extends from the motorhome while driving could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect, and if necessary, replace the hydraulic cylinder.
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the nuts on the bus bar in the DC power distribution panel may not be tightened properly. As a result, the bus bar could overheat and melt other parts. Safety Risk: An overheated or melted electrical panel could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect and tighten the nuts on the DC power distribution panel. On motorhomes with the optional larger 2000 W inverter, the dealer will also remove the bus bar from the DC power distribution panel, and replace it with a cable.
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the seat belts on the sofas may not be properly installed. As a result, the seat belts may not work as designed in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to inspect and repair the seat belts on the sofas, as necessary.
Issue: On certain motorhomes, the rear axle was not properly filled with oil. Operating the vehicle like this could result in damage to the rear axle bearings that can cause them to seize. If that happens, the rear axle or driveshaft could fail, causing a loss of power to the wheels. Additionally, a vehicle with a rear axle or driveshaft failure may also move when the transmission is in Park, even if the parking brake is applied. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A parked vehicle that rolls away could also increase the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Ford dealer to inspect the oil level in the rear axle. The rear axle bearings will be replaced, if necessary.
