The separator of the high voltage battery may be damaged. This may lead to cell failure and increase the risk of fire. Production: 01.07.2020 - 25.11.2025. Types: e4*2001/116*0116*38-*42 (JK), e9*2018/858*11257*00-*02 (WL).
The high-voltage battery pack can contain cells having separator damage. A damaged separator can lead to a very rapid chemical chain reaction in the battery. This can cause the battery to overheat, which can start a fire in the vehicle. Production: 01.07.2020 - 16.11.2023. Types: e4*2001/116*0116*38-*42 (JK); e9*2018/858*11257*00-*02 (WL).
Friction can cause the clutch pressure plate to overheat, which can lead the pressure plate to break unexpectedly. The breaking of a pressure plate can form cracks or holes in the transmission housing, from which heated debris can escape. Heated debris expelled from the transmission mounting can come into contact with a source of ignition in the vehicle or in the surroundings, which can cause a fire. Production: 23.08.2017 - 16.02.2023. Types: JL; JT; individual approval.
The clutch pressure plate may overheat, resulting in an increased risk of fire. Production: 10.7.2020 - 19.2.2021. Types: Einzelabnahmen, Typen: JT, JL.
The brake system module may contain a software error. This could result in insufficient brake assist in the event of emergency braking, increasing the risk of an accident. Production: Model year: 2021. Types: e4*2001/116*0116*38.
