Issue: On certain electric vehicles, the reverse sound of the pedestrian warning system may not be loud enough. Canadian regulations require electric vehicles to make a minimum sound level when operating at low speeds. Safety Risk: A pedestrian warning system that isn't loud enough could create an increased risk of injury for other road users. Corrective Actions: Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS) software.
Issue: On certain hybrid vehicles, a software problem could cause a sudden change in brake pedal feel and travel when the brakes are applied during a turn. This could cause temporary reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the skid control ECU software.

Insufficient pressing of parts in the high pressure fuel pump can cause movement of the cylinder in the fuel pump through which the piston moves. This can create wear between the cylinder and the pump body, resulting in increased stress on valves and/or movement valve seat inside the pump body. This increased stress can cause a crack in the weld of the affected valves, which could lead to a fuel leak, increasing the risk of fire. Production: 2018 - 2022. Types: e11*2001/116*0305*21; e11*2007/46*3641*01; e6*2007/46*0318*00; e6*2007/46*0318*01; e6*2007/46*0318*02; e6*2007/46*0318*03; e6*2007/46*0318*04; e6*2007/46*0318*05; e6*2007/46*0318*06; e6*2007/46*0338*00.

Due to the programming of the skid control's electronic control unit software, the brake fluid pressure can be incorrectly controlled when the brake pedal is applied during cornering. This can lead users to experience a hard brake pedal with reduced braking force, increasing the brake stopping distance and creating a risk of accidents and injuries. Production: 16.01.2023 - 05.11.2024. Types: e6*2007/46*0316*06; e6*2007/46*0316*07; e6*2007/46*0316*08; e6*2007/46*0316*09; e6*2007/46*0318*07; e6*2007/46*0318*08; e6*2007/46*0318*09.
