Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2024-2026 AMG GT, C-Class, E-Class, SL, CLE, and GLC vehicles. The infotainment control unit may reset while the vehicle is in motion and cause the instrument panel display to go blank. Remedy: Dealers will update the infotainment control unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 29, 2026. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2026050004. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 8, 2026.

A manufacturing defect in the steering coupling may lead to loosen mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering box, leading to a loss of steering and increasing the risk of an accident. Specific 12V and 48V ground connection bolts may have been secured with incorrect torque, which may lead to the wiring harnesses being not properly secured. As a result the electrical resistance at the connection points could increase. The temperature may therefore rise in this area, leading to fire. Production: 5.2.2024 - 5.6.2024. The welding of mounting brackets on rear axle carriers may break while driving, which can lead the bracket to become detached from the rear axle carrier.
